Planning for old age, and particularly the time when one starts to lose one’s independence, is a difficult topic for most people to tackle. In fact, many people will leave planning for this life changing event until the last minute when care is already required, adding further concern to an already stressful time for both themselves and their family. The changes required when moving into care are numerous and can include legal and financial concerns, as well as selecting the right home for one’s particular circumstances, and it may be appropriate to obtain specialist help in these areas through a dedicated professional.
With this in mind we are holding a Later Life Planning Seminar on the topic of professional services for those approaching the need for care. The seminars are to be held at Hogarths Hotel, Solihull on 4 November from 5.30pm – 7.30pm or on 13 November at Sunrise, Knowle from 9.00am – 11.00am. These brief talks will inform you of the services available to individuals as they go through this significant change in their life.
Our speakers and topics are:
- Paying for Care - Ann Baguley, Lighthouse Carrwood, Independent Financial Adviser
- Preserving and protecting your wealth - Tracy Creed, Sydney Mitchell
- Providing for care home fees in a low interest world - James Walker, Rathbone Investment Management
These events are free to attend - BUT YOU MUST BOOK YOUR PLACE.
