Key increases in Employment Law effective from April 2023

Minimum Wage Increase - effective from 1 April 2023:

National Living Wage £10.42 from £9.50

21-22 Year Old £10.18 from £9.18

18-20 Year Old £7.49 from £6.83

16-17 Year Old £5.28 from £4.81

Apprentice £5.28 from £4.81

 

Statutory Sick Pay to be increased to £109.40 from £99.35 per week - effective from 6 April 2023

Statutory Maternity Pay/Maternity Allowance, Paternity Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay to be increased to £172.48 from £156.66 per week - effective from 6 April 2023

Annual Employment Tribunal Limit Increase - effective from 6 April 2023

Compensatory Award to be increased to - £105,707 (previously £93,878)

A ‘week’s pay’ (for basic award and redundancy payments) - £643 (previously £571)
