Fahmida Ismail, Partner, Sydney Mitchell LLP was the official Notary at the World Record Christmas Cracker Pull in Oozells Square, Brindley Place, Birmingham.
Sydney Mitchell staff joined in the festive spirit with 749 fellow world record breakers from in and around Birmingham in the attempt to break the world record Christmas Cracker Pull organised by Lydia Ellis of Brindley Place Management. All were entertained by a live band playing Christmas songs and local businesses helped keep the cold at bay with free samples of wine or food.
All 749 world record breakers joined together with strict orders to all pull their crackers at the same time and not move until the record attempt had been verified and confirmed! Fahmida was the official Notary responsible for ensuring all people had been counted, verified, all crackers were pulled at the same time! All verified documents and evidence has been submitted to the Guinness World Record Organisation.
Local businesses provided 150 prize vouchers hidden in the crackers, ranging from meals at Piccolino, Bank, Chilacas, wagamama and Thai Edge, drinks at Pitcher & Piano, Crescent Theatre tickets, an overnight stay at Hilton Garden Inn and a free burger every week at handmade burger Co. for a whole year!
