Sydney Mitchell LLP, Top Tier Legal 500 Law Firm, is delighted to announce that Baljit Chohan has joined the firm as a Corporate and Commercial Partner. Baljit will lead the Corporate and Commercial Team based in Birmingham.
Baljit has worked for almost 30 years in international law firms and also has experience working in-house for an international business. He has worked with all sizes of companies from large international businesses (many listed) to family owned businesses and entrepreneurial start-ups. Sectors he has advised include energy, retail, leisure, technology, automotive, advanced engineering and defence.
Baljit has a wealth of expertise and we are looking forward to utilising his expanse of skills to build up our services in the Midlands, nationally and internationally.

Baljit has acted for both investor and investee on numerous complex joint ventures, shareholder relationships and corporate restructurings. He has led many complex business transactions over the years having worked with Gowling WLG, Squire Patton Boggs and Pinsent Masons.
Baljit has been a regular speaker at events in relation to access to the law and diversity in the workplace. In his spare time Baljit enjoys marathon and ultra-marathon running, travelling, cooking, reading and relaxing with friends and family (Covid-19 permitting of course!).
