Over 120 guests joined partners and staff of leading Midlands’ law firm Sydney Mitchell LLP at a special “Movers & Shakers” Birmingham networking event. The event was held to celebrate the firm reaching the milestone of 250 years in business and winning, for the third time, the Birmingham Law Society Law Firm of the Year Award.
As part of the 250 year celebrations the firm has committed to raising £10,000 this year for its chosen charities, the Tiny Babies Appeal for Birmingham Women’s Hospital which provides specialist neonatal equipment and the Maria Watt Foundation which supports teenagers and children with cancer.
Karen Moores, Partner, welcomed city guests at the first of a series of events being hosted by Sydney Mitchell to celebrate its 250th year and in the process raise money for the charities.
Karen said: “Staying in business for 250 years means delivering quality, great client care and excellent service. Our clients continue to provide us with really positive feedback about the level of service that they receive. A very big thanks to all of our staff both past and present in making our firm what it is today.”
“We have a series of fundraising events to help our chosen charities. Good luck to all who purchased a balloon race ticket and look out for more information about our charity ball on 18 October at the National Motor Cycle Museum.”
Sydney Mitchell provides high quality legal services to both UK and international clients. It is a Legal 500 UK recommended firm and has both Lexcel and Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation. The firm has won Law Firm of the Year in 2013, 2011 and 2008 (5-15 partners) in the Birmingham Law Society Legal Awards.
