All employers have a duty to ensure that prior to starting work, an employee has received adequate training on how to perform his or her job properly.
The employer should also provide relevant training on an ongoing basis, sometimes this duty is overlooked; any such breach of the regulations that results in an employee sustaining injury gives rise to a claim for compensation.
